Lead Cost Lab helps investors understand the economics of seller acquisition. Our tools separate lead price from operating costs, wallet funding and cost per contract or closed deal.

Why a cost lab

A lead price is the most visible number in seller acquisition and usually the least informative one on its own. What an investor can afford depends on how many leads become conversations, contracts and closings, what it costs to work each lead, what fixed costs the test carries and how prepaid balances or credits move cash. Our calculators make those parts explicit so you can enter your own numbers and see where a result comes from.

Every tool gives its result before any signup, link or recommendation, and works without an email address.

How the relationship affects the math: it does not

Our calculators use the same equations whatever provider you enter. They do not contain DrivenSellers-specific adjustments, hidden discounts or default conversion rates that favor any provider. Default rates are blank or visibly labeled illustrative. Where we suggest DrivenSellers, it is as one way to run a small, deliberate test by choosing individual leads at a listed price, not as a predicted result. If your inputs show another approach costs less, the result says so. The disclosure explains the relationship in full.

What we have done, and what we have not

  • Done: written the equations, published them with units and assumption labels, and checked the calculator engine against documented test cases that pass in our automated test suite. Collected provider prices and policies from the providers’ public pages, rechecked on 2026-10-16.
  • Not done: measured any provider’s lead quality, close rates or cost per deal. There is no benchmark or cohort data on this site. Research pages that would need such data stay unpublished until real data exists.

AI tools assist with drafting. A responsible human editor checks and approves publication; that review is pending. See the methodology and editorial policy.
